Database Analyzer for Clean-Start Upgrades
Usage
Clean-Start Database Analyzer shows database statistics which is required for Clean-Start Upgrade request form. Tool shows number of companies in the database, current NAV/BC version, number of custom tables to migrate and number of customized standard tables to migrate. Please pay attention that tool counts all the tables and companies and there is a need to review the results and decide if all the companies, custom and standard customized tables should be included to Clean-Start upgrade.

Implementation
Please choose proper .fob file version from above and import it to the database you want to use for Clean-Start upgrade.
Press File -> Import
Choose the proper file and press Open
Choose No if you want to open the Import Worksheet or Yes to import pages/forms.
Where to find information for clean-start calculator
The following flow can be used to find number of companies inside database, current NAV version, number of custom and customized standard tables.
After import, please open object designer, find page/form 87878 Clean-Start Database Analyzer
nd run it.

analyzes your database and returns statistics: number of companies, NAV version, number of custom tables and number of customized standard tables.
How to get database size value
You can get database size from Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Select database, right click, press properties and find size property.

Information could be filled to Clean-Start Upgrade Calculator request form if all the companies, custom tables and customized tables have to be included, otherwise please enter values according to your needs.
Review what custom tables are necessary for upgrade
If there is a need to review counted tables, you can press (drill down) on custom table or customized table field number and see all the tables included.
In order to view custom tables included, drill down field “Number of custom tables to migrate”
Clean-Start Table List page opens and shows all the custom tables counted (here it is possible to filter by “Version List”, ID, Date and other fields if only some specific tables have to be included):

Review what customized standard tables are necessary for upgrade
In order to view standard customized tables included, drill down field “Number of customized standard tables to migrate”
Clean-Start Table List page opens and shows all the customized standard tables counted (here it is possible to filter by “Version List”, ID, Date and other fields if only some specific tables have to be included):
